Mise-En-Scene
When researching all aspects of Mise-En-Scene around my music video, it was important that i explored and looked at different music videos to ensure I can relate to some music videos, or go along with my music genre.
Costume and Actress
My Actress:
For my actress i have used a young teenager, to reach my target audience demographic. So the audience can relate to her mostly.
For her outfit, I decided to stick with what my focus ground had chosen, as they mostly fall into my target audience being students. They ended up choosing between outfit 1 and outfit 2
They ended up choosing outfit 2 or 'Set 2'.
So this is what i ended up going with, this also helps emphas the indie folk genre stereotypical clothing set, being 'loose fitting clothing' This outfit will be more effect in the shots, it makes her stand out more as i chose a brownish orange jumper instead of a dark one, to represent what she is going through, that she doesn't always end sad; it gets happier.
It will also be easier for her move around in, and suitable for all weather types, as the set 2 is mostly suited for sunnier weather, knowing britain that isn't going to happen anytime soon.
Props:
I only ended up using two props throughout my music video,
the first one that appeared was the letter; the letter can be several times throughout the video.
The letter represented what her best friend left behind, before she died.
You don't get get where the best friend went until right at the end of the video, when the girl visits the graveyard and stands by her grave.
You also only get to see inside the envelop once, what it says on the letter too; at 2:47 in the music video

The next prop
The second and final prop i had was the mobile phone, the phone linked into teenagers/students, the girl is using an iphone which is one of the most popular brands of phones used by teenagers these last few years.
The iPhone was also used to hold her memories with her best friend in, she took a picture with her best friend in front of her car, she later revisits the car and gets upset.

It is also seen as a reflection in the video, as you can see in the picture to the right, you can see the girl's reflection.
